There’s no hope left for this world, if this movie fails to deliver.

The times, they are a-changin’

I got this image and the subject of this little post entirely from an original item on Unreality, one of the more entertaining blogs I follow in my Google Reader. I’m definitely not the only one who sometimes longs for a much simpler time, where you connected more with the people around you. I like the idea of sitting together, eating and not staring at a screen.
Call me boring, but I liked the time where you talked during dinner, instead of looking at some sitcom. You?

CGI reporting at its best

Apparently, this is some kind of news covering on the Jay Leno – Conan O’Brien discussion that’s going on right now. It’s in CGI, including superhero costumes. Very out there.

Some pictures (through The Next Web where you can view them a bit bigger) from the 124th floor of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the tallest skyscraper (I think we can already call this one a sky-impaler) in the world.

Ok, so for the moment I’m playing in two bands. Oathbreaker is probably the hardest thing I’ve ever done, we’re writing a full-length right now and I’ll be sure to talk about it when it drops (or is about to drop). If all goes well, we’ll be recording before the summer, so fingers crossed for that.
Next to that, I’m doing a band called Joshua’s Song, which has a strong early 90’s feel to it. You can check out all the news on Joshua’s song at our Tumblr-blog, regularly updated by Stief. In December we went to Artsound studios and recorded two new songs. When or how the songs will come out, I don’t know. You should however pick them up once they’re available, because a) they’re exceptionally great songs and b) it’s the best drumsound I’ve ever gotten from a recording.
Some pics from that session here
Currently, Joshua’s Song has a three-song demo out which you can purchase. Oathbreaker has a 7″/MCD out, which you can also purchase. Just ask me.
It’s not that I’m afraid of spiders…

…but I’d rather not find this guy in my house, I don’t think I’ve got a newspaper big enough to defend myself. It’s got a legspan of 14 cm (5.5 inches) and apparently the biggest of its type in the Middle East. It eats insects. And lizards. Quite the spider if you can put an animal as big as a lizard on your menu.
As a recently discovered species, the spider is already under immediate threat since the Israeli government will be starting mining operations in the region, which could possibly lead to a new name on the ‘extinct species thanks to mankind’-list. Well, at least they’re not building a big wall around its entire population or a fence.
